Safety Awareness

Dear Parents and Carers,

We were informed yesterday that there have been concerns about the suspicious behaviour of a man in Auckland Road, over the weekend.  He is an older man, approximately in his 50s wearing a yellow high Vis jumper and black pants.  There have been reports that he has been watching children in the park and at the shops and that he has apparently offered to buy children ice cream.

Our understanding is that this has happened out of school hours but we wanted to make you aware.  This has been reported to the Police.

Please be vigilant and call the Police if you see any unusual or suspicious behaviour.  Staff are always on duty at the start and end of each school day to supervise students and to ensure that everyone is safe.  We appreciate any further information from families so that we can work together with the Police to keep the Blacon community safe.

Regards,
