2024 GCSE Results Day

Once again, at Blacon High School we are delighted to congratulate our students on achieving some outstanding results in their GCSEs.

In addition to some amazing outcomes in all subject areas, the school is also very pleased to report significant gains in English, Maths and Science. Additionally, there was a notable increase in those who accessed the highest grades with more students than ever achieving Grades 7, 8 and 9 in a range of subjects across the board.

Amongst a huge number of outstanding outcomes, some of our top performers include Annie-Mae Barlow, Honey Cuddihy, Robert Latham, Jess Roberts, Georgie Keirl, Daisy Davies, Lukasz Paradysz, Cai Horobin and Connor Foster who all achieved a number of the highest grades. Congratulations to all of them.

Headteacher, Rachel Hudson, said: ‘I am delighted to share in our students’ success today. Their outcomes are a testament to their hard work and commitment both in the lead up to, and their effort during, the exam period. These grades are also a reflection of the fantastic relationships between students and staff that are a feature of Blacon High School, along with the valuable, ongoing support of teachers, support staff, parents, carers and Governors. Students have secured places on a variety of post-16 courses at institutes both locally and further afield.’

Once again, Blacon High School is proud to announce that a further five students have secured fully-funded bursary places via the Hope Opportunity Trust and the Royal Springboard Foundation and will be studying for their A levels for the next two years at some of the country’s top independent schools. This brings the number of students who have been fortunate enough to access the bursary programme in recent years to forty five. We are delighted for all five of them and know that they will absolutely make the most of this life-changing opportunity.

We wish all of our students every success and they leave us with our best wishes as they move on to the next stage of their journey.
