Youth Cafe

Hi Everyone,

We need your help!

Blacon High School is now offering another strand of after-school provision for its students and wondered if you could help us out by donating some equipment.

From 3.10pm- 5.10pm on one afternoon each week, we will be running a Youth Cafe. This initiative is in direct response to student voice.

The Youth Cafe will be a safe space and we plan to have a range of activities that students can engage in, if they want to. Alternatively, if they just want to use the area as a social space, that is also fine. I’m sure you’ll agree that, once we get into the autumn term and the nights start to become darker, students will really appreciate another venue they can access after school. We will also be offering a selection of hot and cold snacks, hot and cold drinks and a tuck shop.

To add to our list of planned activities we are looking for:

  • A foosball table – free-standing, not a table-top one.
  • An air hockey table
  • A flatscreen TV that can double up as a monitor to play console games on - we have already had the offer of two games consoles.

Obviously, all equipment needs to be in working order and in good condition but we would be more than grateful if you could help us out.

Thanks in advance
